Plumbing Recommendations

When it comes to trying to pick out faucets, valves, toilets, and other fixtures for your bathroom or kitchen; it's quite a headache. With all the different brands, styles, and colors it can just get quite confusing. Not all brands are made for quality. Even those which cost the most might not be the most efficient. So don't just go by looks when you're picking out your new fixtures; we have a few suggestions from our years of experience, that might be able to help you out a bit:

Delta and Moen are the preferred brands used by Wayne's Plumbing Repair. Parts are usually available to repair any faucets.

Kitchen Sink Faucets:

Try to stick with Delta or Moen faucets. Why you might ask? They are reasonably priced and have a large variety of styles and colors. Parts are easier to find for them, you can get parts to repair them from just about any repair store (even though we suggest that you contact a licensed plumber when repairs are needed).

Lavatory Faucets:

Again try to stick with Delta or Moen. Even though with lavatory faucets they are easier to take off and replace if ever one breaks. If you are wishing not to have to replace your faucets and wish to keep them for a good long time then we recommend the Delta or Moen. When changing old lavatories, an experienced plumber is needed to save you time and money.

Bath/Shower Valves:

We HIGHLY RECOMMEND DELTA or MOEN. Trust us on this, it can get costly when going to replace the valves. Even though it may be pretty, repair parts are a must. Most people only pay attention to the looks and don't think of the mechanics of the valves. They think "ooohh pretty", but the repair parts are hard to come by or are extremely costly and have to be shipped from overseas so it takes a few weeks to receive. Delta and Moen parts are usually with us in stock.
- Delta and Moen also have many styles of trim all with the same valve body (Delta valves are different from Moen valves, with each brand having their own trim). So if you ever want to upgrade the finish or style of trim you may not need to cut into the walls.

Toilets:

There are a few different styles of toilets that we highly recommend due to their flushing power and p-trap size outlet.
- There's the American Standard Cadet 3. One of their most popular toilets with fewer clogs, high flushing power, and reasonable price; this toilet is great.
- American Standard Champion; with the ability to flush 2 dozen golf balls all at once, this toilet is virtually clog-free. It has a higher cost than the Cadet 3, and due to its size; the champion doesn't fit in all situations.
- If for some reason you don't like American Standard and would rather have a Kohler than we suggest the Kohler Cimmeron.
